Passing Marks for Old Sainik Schools Admission
A candidate is eligible for admission to the Old Sainik Schools, if he/ she secures a minimum of 25% marks in each subject of the exam and 40% marks in aggregate of all the subjects of AISSEE 2024. However, admission will be based on e- counselling as per the merit list of AISSEE 2024, medical fitness and verification of requisite documents
No minimum marks are required for candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste or Scheduled Tribe category.
Also, In case an SC/ST/OBC(NCL) category candidate comes in the general merit on his/her own, he or she would be admitted against general seat and will not be adjusted against the reserved share of SC/ST/OBC(NCL) seats. Read about Document required for Sainik School Admission here.
Passing Marks for New Sainik Schools Admission
A candidate is eligible for admission to the approved New Sainik Schools, if he/ she secures a minimum of 25% marks in each subject of the exam and 40% marks in aggregate of all the subjects of AISSEE 2024.
This criteria is applicable to all candidates who wish to seek admission to approved New Sainik Schools including SC/ST candidates.
Please Note: Criteria of domicile / category are not applicable for admission to approved New Sainik Schools.
Passing Marks for Sainik School Admission : FAQ’s
A minimum of 25% marks in each subject of the exam and 40% marks in aggregate is required to qualify in All India Sainik School entrance exam.
For admission in Old Sainik Schools, No minimum marks are required for candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste or Scheduled Tribe (SC/ST) category. However, for admission to new Sainik Schools, a minimum of 25% marks in each subject of the exam and 40% marks in total is compulsory.
Cut off marks for Sainik School Class 6 admission: A minimum of 25% marks in each subject of the exam and 40% marks in aggregate is required to qualify for Sainik School Class 6 admission.
Cut off marks for Sainik School Class 9 admission: A minimum of 25% marks in each subject of the exam and 40% marks in aggregate is required to qualify for Sainik School Class 9 admission.
